Never Give Up!

Who said starting a business was going to be easy? Please read those two profiles below;

The first profile is about Mrs. Debbie Fields, she is the C.E.O of Mrs. Field's Original Cookies Inc.

When she was only 13 years old she would bake cookies for her family and friends. Years later she baked cookies for her husbands business associates. She told them she had an idea to start a
business baking cookies. None of them thought it would be a good idea, here are some of the reasons they gave; "Nobody will loan you the money" "Too many compaines doing it already"
"It would cost too much to start a new company" "The price of sugar is too high" "Nobody eats soft cookies" Her husband went along with her idea and together they got a loan from a bank.
Mrs.Field's Original Cookies now makes millions of dollars a year and growing!

The next profile is about Mr. Fred Smith, he is C.E.O of Federal Express Inc.

It all started with a term paper he wrote for an economics class while he was a student at Yale University. Mr. Smith felt that the most efficient way to move air freight was to have a central hub (which was later to be Memphis) where all package's would be sent and then have them put on a private fleet of aircraft that would fly the package to their final destination. He got a grade of "C" on his term paper. He was told his business idea would not work because people were already useing the United States Postal Service or they used U.P.S (United Parcel Service) to get package's to their destination.

Mr. Smith did some testing of his idea with a marking friend.He asked his friend to do some research; he wanted him to find out if compaines would use a service that could guarantee a package overnight. About two weeks later, his friend came back with the answer; yes not only would compaines use this type of service but would be willing to pay a premium for it! Based on this information Mr.Smith was able to a get a loan for 91 million dollars to start the company( he also had 4 million from an Inheritance) Federal Express is now a Fortune 500 Company!

So don't give up on your dream!
Thanks, David.
